The steelhead above was landed in the Trinity River.

Trinity River This beautiful river has been very productive this past year, and steelhead, brown trout, and salmon abound.  A 45-minute drive from Redding, the Trinity is usually fishable from October to March.  It has a good run of wild and hatchery steelhead.  The down side is that it is very crowded at times. The Trinity River has a large population of German brown trout.
