BEAUTIFUL BALD EAGLE ON SHASTA LAKE

eagleonrocks.JPG

Steve's grandparents came to Happy Camp by wagon in 1921.  He and his family have spent many years fishing the Klamath.  He caught his first Klamath River steelhead in the fall of 1960, about a mile upriver from Happy Camp at a place called Wood's Bar.  From that time on, he was hooked!

Steve says that of all the rivers in Northern California, the Klamath River is the most beautiful.  It's not surprising to see all kinds of wildlife-- deer, osprey, bald eagles, and black bear.  Whether you're a novice or an experienced angler, a drift boat fishing trip on the Klamath River is an experience you'll always remember.
Steve has been fishing in the Sacramento River since 1961, when he caught his first salmon.  It weighed 16 lbs.  The waters of the Sacramento River remain a cold 56 degrees year-round, which produce excellent conditions for the trout.  Sacr
amento River rainbow trout are so beautiful and such exciting fish to catch
